OUR STORY
Ninety years on this land
Hacienda Primavera is a family-run wilderness ecolodge in Ecuador’s biodiverse Andean Chocó, roughly an hour and a half from Otavalo. For more than ninety years our family has cared for this land, and today just eight rooms share it.
Every room opens to a private terrace and the sounds of the forest. It is eco-luxury without pretension: comfort, character and genuine remoteness that is still easy to reach.

We are a small, family run lodge set inside the Andean Chocó cloud forest, with only eight rooms so our footprint stays light. We source food locally, care for the surrounding forest and gardens, and keep the whole experience low impact and close to nature.
Just eight. Every room sits on the main floor and opens to a private terrace, so the lodge always feels intimate and quiet.
We are in Imbabura Province, about 1.5 hours from Otavalo and Ibarra and roughly 2.5 to 3 hours from Quito’s airport. We can arrange private transfers.
Rooms include free Wi-Fi and breakfast, lunch and dinner made with fresh local ingredients. Access to the pool, jacuzzi and gardens is included, and activities like birdwatching, hiking, horseback riding and spa treatments can be added.
